Also known as: SRA
On copper and wireless connections, line quality varies constantly: weather, interference from equipment, temperature. Without correction, the connection would have to resynchronise on every deterioration and briefly drop.
Seamless Rate Adaptation adjusts the speed used in small steps while the connection stays online. At most, the user notices slightly less speed instead of an interruption.
For business-critical applications, such as card payment terminals, camera surveillance or a booking system, that's the difference between a slow minute and a fault report.
How we apply this
We combine rate adaptation on the line with automatic failover to 5G, so a deteriorating connection is caught before it drops completely.
