GPON fibre for Holiday Park Zevenbergen

The challenge

• The existing connections per accommodation were slow and unstable, especially in the peak season.
• Copper and coax cabling no longer met the expectations of guests who stream and work remotely.
• The park wanted one future-proof infrastructure for internet, TV and Wi-Fi, without managing separate connections per accommodation.

Our approach

1. 01

   Designing the GPON network

   From a central technical room we designed a GPON ring: one fibre serves dozens of accommodations through passive splitters, with no active equipment in the field.

2. 02

   Phased construction

   Construction was phased outside the peak season, so guests and operations were never disrupted.

3. 03

   Activation per accommodation

   Every accommodation received its own fibre termination point with a pre-configured router. Activating or pausing an accommodation is done centrally.

The result

• Fast, stable internet in every accommodation, even at full occupancy.
• One low-maintenance fibre infrastructure with no active equipment in the field.
• Ready to extend with TV distribution and Wi-Fi management over the same network.
• Central management: activate, pause and monitor accommodations from one portal.
